Everyone knows how vital nutrition is in order to lose weight fast. Cultivating the right habits is essential in order to lose body fat and get in shape but sometimes we have a hard time sticking with these habits because of poor planning. The importance of developing a plan to lose weight cannot be under-estimated and can often be the difference between ultimate success or miserable failure. In this two part article we will reveal 5 ways that you can ensure incredible <a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com" target="_blank">fat loss success</a> by incorporating a solid plan to lose weight.<span id="more-114"></span></p>
<p><strong>1.) Write your weight loss goals down on paper.</strong></p>
<p><a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/motivation/goal-setting-for-weight-loss/" target="_blank">Goal setting</a> is a key part of any <strong>plan to lose weight</strong>. Start out by writing down your ultimate weight loss goal, making sure that it is long-term and achievable. Then break this large goal into weekly and monthly targets which include both numerical, performance related goals like &#8220;losing 1 pound in 1 week&#8221; and non-numeric goals like not to eat any chocolate in 1 week or do a <a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/fitness/running-stairs/" target="_blank">cardio workout</a> by Sunday which don&#8217;t involve looking at the scales. These smaller targets keep your motivation on track and give you confidence when you achieve them. <p>Most people don&#8217;t even bother with a weight loss plan and think that simply by eating less they will lose more weight but this isn&#8217;t necessarily true, certainly if you want to max out your weight loss plan you&#8217;ll need to calculate your maintenance level. First up you&#8217;ll need your RMR (notice I suggest this rather than the more familiar BMR).</p>
<p><strong>To Calculate your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) you need to use the following Muffin equation:</strong></p>
<p><strong>*  For men:</strong> (10 x w) + (6.25 x h) - (5 x a) + 5 = RMR<br />
<strong>*  For women:</strong> (10 x w) + (6.25 x h) - (5 x a) - 161 = RMR</p>
<p>w = weight in kg<br />
h = height in cm<br />
a = age</p>
<p><strong>Once you&#8217;ve found this, the next step is to assess your activity level from the following:</strong></p>
<p>1.2      Sedentary      Little or no exercise and office job<br />
1.375     Lightly Active     Light exercise/sports 1-3 days a week<br />
1.55     Moderately Active     Moderate exercise/sports 3-5 days a week<br />
1.725     Very Active     Hard exercise/sports 6-7 days a week<br />
1.9     Extremely Active     Hard daily exercise/sports and physical job</p>
<p>The numbers to the left represent what you&#8217;ll need to multiply your RMR score with to find your daily maintenance level of calories. Be aware that the activity levels leave a lot to be interpreted by you so the result won&#8217;t be 100% accurate but you will get a very good idea of how many calories you should be eating so you can create a solid plan to lose weight.</p>
<p>One other thing I must mention with regards to RMR and a plan to lose weight is that the equations above don&#8217;t take into account body composition - or how much fat/muscle your body is made up of. This means that if you have a non-typical amount of lean muscle mass you won&#8217;t have such accurate results from your RMR calculation. This all comes down to the fact that muscle burns more calories than fat. So if you have above average muscle mass your real RMR will be much higher than calculated, likewise if you have less than average muscle mass your RMR will be less than calculated.</p>
<p>So as you can see, RMR and maintenance level calculations are estimates and whilst they are perfectly adequate for most peoples needs they aren&#8217;t perfect. Just assess and use common sense when you plan to lose weight.</p>

<p>I keep getting emails asking me <strong>how to lose lower belly fat</strong> in the fastest possible way and I keep giving the same answer - you cannot spot reduce fat from just one part of your body - you need to lose fat all over in order to lose lower belly fat - there are no 6 second abs routines!<span id="more-111"></span></p>
<p>In this article I will show you <strong>3 top fat burning exercises</strong> that should be included in your weekly quick exercise workouts - of course don&#8217;t forget to utilize a high quality long term diet plan alongside these exercises if you want to ensure you consistently lose fat - then you will most certainly lose lower belly fat!</p>
<p>So here are 3 of my top fat burning exercises to lose lower belly fat:</p>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="margin: 10px; float: left;" src="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/images/frontsquat.jpg" alt="Front Squats" /><strong>1.) Front Squats</strong></p>
<p>Front squats are a fantastic way to develop both lower body strength and your core and if incorporated into a <a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/fitness/running-stairs/" target="_blank">highly intense routine</a>, are extremely powerful in helping you lose lower belly fat. This exercise should be performed with only your body weight until you can comfortably manage 3 sets of 25 reps without muscle soreness - you can increase the intensity of the front squat by using dumbbells or a barbell, as shown in the picture.</p>
<p>Begin the front squat exercise by standing with your feet slightly wider than shoulder width apart. Slowly draw your stomach in and initiate movement from the hips, not the knees, descend slowly so that your butt gently touches the back of your calves. Should you be unable to descend this low without going onto the balls of your feet then only go as far as you can before your heels start to rise - this is a sign of a restriction of motion in your calves and can be improved with practice and plenty of stretching.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="margin: 10px; float: left;" src="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/images/dumbbell-row.jpg" alt="Dumbbell Row" /><strong>2.) Dumbbell Rows</strong></p>
<p>The second of our top fat burning exercises is well known to work your lats but also is of special benefit to your core muscles and will help you in your quest to lose lower belly fat.</p>
<p>To perform dumbell rows place your left knee and left hand on a bench as shown in the picture. With the dumbell in your right hand and making sure your back is straight and stays straight throughout the exercise, pull the dumbell towards your hip ensuring that the only body part moving is your arm.</p>
<p>Try not to drop or raise your shoulder and focus on clean, smooth movements up and down - also be sure to keep your supporting leg stationary on the ground - if you cannot do all of these things it is likely you are using too heavy a weight. Repeat for 10 reps on your right side before moving to your left and completing another 10 reps. Aim for 3 sets.</p>
<p><img class="alignleft" style="margin: 10px; float: left;" src="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/images/reverse-crunch.jpg" alt="Reverse Crunch" width="180" height="172" /><strong>3.) Reverse Crunch</strong></p>
<p>Finally, the reverse crunch. This is one of the top fat burning exercises to isolate the lower six pack muscles - regular crunches that you are probably more familiar with work on the upper abdominals, this is a fantastic exercise to <a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/fitness/how-to-get-a-flat-stomach-fast/" target="_blank">sculpt your abs</a> and really can help you to lose lower belly fat pronto.</p>
<p>Begin by lying on your back on something soft and place your hands beside you - be careful that you do not use them to help you in any way other than for balance during the exercise though! Lift your knees and bend them so that they are approximately 90 degrees from the floor.</p>
<p>Contract your abdominals and lift your knees towards the ceiling or back towards your chest, pausing briefly in this position before slowly lowering them back to the start position, allowing your butt to touch the floor. Repeat for between 10 and 15 times for 3 sets. You can make this exercise more challenging by placing weight or a medicine ball between your feet or thighs.</p>

<p>This post attempts to answer that difficult question and gives honest opinion on whether a low diet is a diet you should be using to <a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com" target="_self">lose weight fast</a>. But first let&#8217;s begin by discovering some of the basics&#8230;</p>
<p><strong>What is a low diet?</strong></p>
<p>A low diet is a <a href="http://www.fitnessfatloss.com/nutrition/diet-program-weight-loss/" target="_self">diet weight loss plan</a> that advocates consuming low amounts of certain macro-nutrients or calories in order to lose weight.
